Kensington Tours: Antarctica
As in: the South Pole. Your bucket list worthy adventure in 24-hours of continuous sunshine & ice-covered wonder begins with a private jet departing from Cape Town, South Africa. You and your 11 companions will be amongst the very few who have ever visited the massive ice continent. You’ll hike across ice caves, see the largest Emperor Penguin colony or even visit the nearby Russian and Indian research stations. And if you’re looking for more adventure, their guides can lead you up unclimbed mountains or teach you how to kite-ski across the infinite horizons of ice.
Once the exclusive domain of explorers and scientists, Kensington Antarctica now gives amateur explorers the opportunity to see landscapes and wildlife at their most untouched with personalized service from experienced professionals and the comfort of a luxury camp.
~Jeff Willner, founder of Kensington Tours
The safari-style camp offers heated tents, modern conveniences & gourmet meals. The main living area is two large, dome tents which house a dining room, library, kitchen and communications area. There are only six sleeping tents, each shared by two clients.
