Brooks Cascadia 6

Brooks Cascadia 6

New for 2011, Brooks introduces its top-of-the-line trail running shoe – the Cascadia 6. One of several improvements this year is the addition of their DNA padding material in the heel & forefoot. This allows the cushioning to change depending on the weight & speed of the runner. More traction has been added to the outer sole to decrease slippage on up or downhill runs, and an additional crash pad added in the rear to lessen the impact on heel strike. Profile height has also been decreased and overall weight reduced by an ounce. Carried over from the Cascadia 5 is the now visible ballistic rock shield in the forefoot. The foot support that the Cascadia provides while still light-weight is a great combination. If you’re in the market for new shoes this season, you should definitely check these out when they hit store shelves in February.
